Item Pricing (Skin Deposits)

Written by Kostas

When you deposit some items, the balance you get differs from the price you initially see on Steam or Skinsback (CS:GO and TF2 deposits).

For example, if you deposit skins with the Steam/Skinsback value of $40.00 you will receive around $20.00 in your Howl balance.

Why this is happening?

This is happening because the provider we use for our marketplace doesn't include any fees, as Steam does, which means skins can be bought much cheaper than what you purchase on Steam. So to adjust the balance to the value of buying/selling you get the respective coins in your balance.

When the time comes to withdraw, if for example, you buy a skin $10.00 worth from our marketplace, when it arrives in Steam inventory it will have Steam's price, which will be almost double.
