Payments

When do I receive my deposit?

  • These payments include SFG commissions programs and bonuses. Payments are deposited weekly on Fridays.

How do I update my personal contact and banking information with SFG?

What happens if my payment went to a bank account I no longer use?

  • Please submit a support ticket in HQ for Finance.

  • For returned and most pending payments, we can reissue the payment. For paid payments, you will need to reach out to your bank.

Agent Debt/Invoices

I was told I owe a debt. What should I do?

  • Sources of debt include Various services and subscriptions can generate a balance if not paid. If the balance is not paid within 90 days, then incoming payments and bonuses are eligible to be deducted to fulfill the balance.

Symmetry debt

<Platform Subscription>

  • Any unpaid subscription charges for services or features that have been properly administered are due for payment unless otherwise absolved.

<Coaching>

  • All coaching services and cohorts have a cost associated with them and are either paid through invoices or recurring charges. Any open balances past 90 are eligible for deduction.

<Events and Contests>

  • Purchases of tickets or cost sharing for special contest trips can be paid through invoices or payment plans. These can be arranged for each agent personally and are subject to each case’s merits.

Carrier debt

I received a notice from a carrier telling me I have debt, what do I do?

  • Reach out to the carrier to discuss payment options.

I saw a debt roll to me on a commission statement. What should I do?

  • Reach out to the carrier to confirm where the debt was from.

How do I get my money back from an agent that rolled their debt to me?

  • You are responsible for debt collection.

  • An agent had debt roll to me. What happens to their commissions moving forward

  • Most carriers will apply any outstanding commissions payable to the next upline to resolve the debt. Reach out to the specific carrier to understand their process.

What if I’m worried about an agent in my downline and their quality of business?

  • You can request an agent be moved to “as earned” commissions from “advanced” using this form: As Earned Request Form (jotform.com).

  • If you feel there is fraudulent activity or any other suspicious activity, please complete a support ticket with as much detail as possible for an internal investigation.

Where do I find out if I qualify for a bonus?

Leaderboards

Are the leaderboards based off submitted or placed amounts?

  • Submitted

If I have an agent breakout to agency owner will their numbers still count on the base shop leaderboard?

  • They will not count because they now have their own base shop.

How are the leaderboards calculated?

  • Either personal production, base shop production, or Master Agency production.

How do I submit a promotion request for agency director or higher?

  • Promotion requests are only submitted for Team Leader, Key Leader, Agency Owner, Top Producer, and Elite Producer. Agency Director or higher is handled automatically internally.

How do I submit a promotion request for levels of leadership below Agency Director?

When are promotions announced?

  • The last National Call (Wed) of each month

What is the deadline for promotion request forms?

  • The Monday before the last National Call (Wed) of each month.

Production Reporting

Where can I find my placed policies?

  • On HQ, go to “My Clients” and then “Placed Policies.” You can export it to see more details like the policy number, etc.

What does each carrier mean as issue paid?

  • Policies are reported to us from the carriers when they are issued and paid. If a payment for a policy is processed later than it was issued, that will be when it will be reported to us.

What do I do if my numbers look off on the snapshot in Opt?

  • Compare what you have to the placed policies on HQ by checking for reversals, wrong APV’s, missing policies, and the previous month’s policies. Then submit a dispute form with anything that needs to be updated.

How will I know when the dispute period is open?

  • AOs and above will receive an email from the Business Intelligence department with the timeframe and the dispute form which requires agent name, carrier name, policy number, expected APV and policy issued date.

I tried to access the snapshot dispute form and couldn’t find it.

  • The form is accessible during the snapshot dispute period. It is unavailable once the dispute period ends.

I have a dispute I’d like to make for a previous month and not this current month.

  • Once the snapshot has been finalized, we cannot add anything to it but we are happy to review it for the next month.

When will the final updates be made in HQ and in Opt?

  • After the dispute period is over, we will send out an email once everything is finalized and in the system.

Are you looking for your 1099?

Were you paid directly by Symmetry or a carrier?

If you were paid directly by Symmetry, 1099s are mailed no later than January 31.

Did you receive a payment directly from Symmetry or was it received from a carrier?

- If you receive your payments directly from the carriers you work with, we do not have your 1099. You will need to reach out to the carriers for your 1099 as we do not have that.

Please make sure you keep a record of all payments received whether from a carrier or Symmetry.

If you need to see what policy you are receiving payment on or expecting, please log in to your personal HQ account and go to the commissions tab at the top. Choose the type of bonus payout and select the month you are inquiring about.
