Why?

Flexibility with our job titles is essential to opening up our results to gain a complete view of the market. This can however leave us with a large dataset including roles that aren't always applicable.

To solve this, you can now filter out specific words from job titles to get more precise salary benchmarking results. No more manual cleanup needed.

Key Benefits include:

  • Precision: Target exact roles without over-filtering

  • Efficiency: Less manual cleanup, faster results

  • Accuracy: Better benchmarking data quality

  • Flexibility: Works with saved searches

How?

Our exclusion filters can be found by clicking on the button to the left of the job title search, as shown here;

From here, you are able to add any combination of job titles to include and exclude, shown in the example below;

In this example, we want to see all of the relevant Finance Manager and Financial Manager roles, but we do not want to see any roles that include either 'Assistant', 'Junior' or 'Graduate' in the job title as we know our role is mid-level.

Once you have added all relevant words to exclude, click search and you will see the results update.

We feel this functionality is simple but very powerful as it is our most accurate way to quickly eliminate a large number of roles that are not relevant to a search.
