How do I send automated client visit reminders?

Learn how to send SMS reminders to your clients to notify them about upcoming visits

Our client reminders feature enables you to automatically notify clients of upcoming visits. You can choose to send this reminder text message either 24 hours, 48 hours or 1 week before a scheduled visit.

If there is a valid “site contact number” the text reminder will be sent to that. If not, then the SMS will be sent to a valid “client number”. If there is no valid phone number then no reminder will be sent. Learn how to add phone numbers to clients and sites here.

On mobile

  1. Head to More > Settings > Client visit reminders

On desktop

  1. Head to Settings > Customer reminders and toggle on Send clients a text reminder about upcoming visits:

    Note: you can toggle reminders on/off by client and turn them on for new clients by default.

  2. Select the frequency for your reminders by clicking on the dropdown underneath Send reminder.

  3. Then, you may edit the message that gets sent to your clients. If you include:

    1. {companyName} this will appear as your company's name (you can edit this in the Company tab)

    2. {startTime} this will insert the scheduled start time of the visit

    3. {scheduledDate} this will show as the date of the visit

    4. {companyNumber} this will insert the phone number of your company (you can edit this in the Company tab)
