How to enable Remote integration

Our integration with Remote bridges the gap between HRIS and EOR systems, automating data syncing to eliminate manual updates and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across your global workforce.

This guide explains how to integrate Remote and Humaans to sync employee data from Remote into Humaans. Once the integration is configured and a new employee is onboarded in Remote, their information will automatically sync in a new hire profile in Humaans.

Before you begin

  • This integration currently allows for importing of employee and contractor data from Remote to Humaans.

  • Some country specific data may not automatically map to Humaans. Please feel free to contact our support team for assistance with this.

  • If an employee already exists in both Humaans and Remote, their details will automatically update in Humaans based on information in Remote.

  • Any edits made to employee information in Remote will automatically update in Humaans.

Enabling Remote integration in Humaans

  1. In Humaans, click Integrations.

  2. Click the Payroll tab or scroll to find Remote.

  3. Open by clicking Configure.

  4. Click Sign in with Remote.

  5. You will be redirected to Remote. Click the Approve button to grant Humaans access to company and employee details in Remote.

  6. Once redirected to Humaans, click Configuration to view which data maps from Remote to Humaans and where in the user’s profile.

  7. Toggle on Keep data in sync.

Note: For greater flexibility, you can toggle on and off certain data points from mapping to Humaans.

Moving forward, when a new employee is onboarded in Remote, their data will be imported to a new hire profile in Humaans. For more on this, read Adding newly onboarded employees on Remote to Humaans.

If the employee already has an account in Humaans, any information in their profile will be replaced by the data mapped from Remote. Remote is the single source of truth in this case.

Choose what data to import from Remote

To check what data is mapping from Remote to Humaans, follow these steps:

  1. Click Integrations.

  2. Click the Payroll tab or scroll to find Remote.

  3. Open by clicking Configure.

  4. Click Configuration.

  5. After making changes to data fields, click Save.

Remote data fields are displayed on the left-hand side and Humaans target fields are on the opposite side.

When you configure data from Remote to Humaans, a list of data fields for mapping will appear. Some of these fields aren’t clickable because they are required. Other fields aren’t required and can be toggled on and off as needed.

Updating employee data in Remote

When you make small edits to an employee’s data in Remote, these changes will populate in Humaans automatically.

Adding newly onboarded employees on Remote to Humaans

When a newly onboarded employee is added to Remote, they are added to Humaans automatically.

Employees imported from Remote will appear in the New hires tab. This gives you a chance to review the new hire and their information before adding them as an active member to Humaans.

To view the information of the new hire, click Add member.

Deleting new hires

To remove a new hire, open their user profile, and click Delete new hire at the bottom of the left-hand side menu. You'll be asked to confirm before deleting.
