The Headcount Planning dataset in Tables provides a comprehensive, read/write planning view of your workforce data. It combines people, job role, compensation, and working pattern data into a single view — making it easy to plan headcount changes, review FTE allocations, and analyse workforce distribution.
Overview
Headcount Planning brings together data from multiple sources into one unified table. Unlike standard people tables, it is designed specifically for workforce planning, giving you a consolidated view of each employee's role, compensation, and working arrangement in a single row.
To access Headcount Planning:
In the Home menu, click Tables.
Select an existing Headcount plan table, or create a new one (see below).
Creating a Headcount Planning view
You can create a new Headcount Planning table or add a Headcount Planning view to an existing table.
Navigate to Tables and click the + button to create a new table.
Select Headcount planning as the dataset.
Give your table a name (e.g. "Q2 Headcount Plan") and click Create.
To add a view to an existing table, open the table and click + Add view, then select Headcount planning.
Tip: Headcount Planning is a planning dataset. Changes you make in this view can be reviewed and applied just like in any other table. You can share planning views with collaborators for team-based workforce planning.
