AI credits cover usage of certain AI features in Humaans. Your company receives a free monthly allowance and can purchase additional credits for continued use. Owners and anyone with permission to manage billing can review usage and add credits in Settings > AI > Usage.
Which features use AI credits?
AI Companion, the Workflow AI builder, Document categorisation, and Document file renaming use credits. MCP, Engagement AI insights, Engagement comments analysis, and Performance AI are included in your subscription and don’t use credits.
Free monthly usage
Your company receives a free allowance of AI credits each month. Individual usage limits also apply. Free usage resets at the start of each month. Unused free credits don't carry over. If you need more, owners and anyone with permission to manage billing can add credits for your company.
Track credit usage
Click Settings in the main navigation.
Click AI.
Open the Usage tab.
The Usage tab shows your available balance, recent usage, and top-up history. It’s available to owners and anyone with permission to manage billing.

Owners and anyone with permission to manage billing can add credits in Humaans.
Click Settings in the main navigation.
Click AI.
Click the Usage tab.
Click Add credits.
Select a credit pack or a custom amount.
Select a payment method.
Click the payment button to confirm your purchase.
The price and any applicable tax appear before you confirm. For help choosing an amount or purchasing a larger volume, contact your Customer Success Manager.

The payment methods available to your company appear when you add credits. Pay by card or add the purchase to your Humaans invoice.
Do purchased credits expire?
Yes. Purchased credits expire 12 months after they’re added. Each employee's free usage allowance resets monthly and doesn’t carry over.
What happens when credits run out?
Credit-using features pause if your free allowance is exhausted and there are no purchased credits available. They remain paused until credits are added or the monthly allowance resets. An in-app message directs you to contact a workspace owner.

FAQs
Can we cap how many credits one person spends?
No. Each person has a monthly free credit allowance, but there’s currently no per-person cap on their use of purchased credits.
Do unused purchased credits carry over between months?
Yes. Purchased credits sit in your company wallet until they're spent, or until they expire 12 months after purchase. Free monthly allowances don't carry over.
