What DocuSign documents get imported

The DocuSign integration will look at your DocuSign documents and your integration configuration to decide which documents to import. The following rules are applied when importing documents from DocuSign to protect employee's privacy and to ensure only relevant documents are synced.

Template matching

Only DocuSign documents that were created from your enabled templates will get imported.

Document is signed

Only DocuSign documents that were signed by all parties will be imported. Drafts, or documents that are waiting for more signatures will not be imported.

Employee work email matching

The document will get imported if the email in the configured recipient role matches the employee's work email. Additionally, the document will only be imported if it was created between employment start date and employment end date of the said employee. That is, documents that were created before the employee joined the company or after they've left the company are not imported.

Employee personal email matching

The email in the configured recipient role might instead match employee's personal email (e.g. employment agreement sent to a person before they are onboarded with a company email). In this case, the document will be imported only if the person's full name in Humaans matches the name specified in the DocuSign recipient name field. The employment start or end date restriction is not applied in this case.
