A guide to creating, saving and managing different Views and Tables within Tables

In this guide, you'll learn how to create and view multiple different Tables formats and views.


Tables vs. Views

View: Each view looks at a specific dataset available in Tables. Each view can be configured with their own saved filters to display specific data for easy access of various subsets of information.

Tables: A Table is a collection of one or more views. Humaans defaults Tables contain views with complementary sets of data People, Time away etc. but Tables can have views from any data set added to them.

You can create an unlimited number of Tables and Views.


Creating a Table

  • In the Home menu, click Tables, then click Create new table within the sidebar.

  • Name your new table, and select a Dataset. Each dataset pulls a different grouping of data fields for you to view and edit accordingly.

  • When you're ready, click Confirm and create Tables.


Renaming/Deleting a Table

  • In the Home menu, click Tables.

  • Hover over the desired table within the sidebar, then click the ... icon.

  • Click Rename to change the display title of their table.

  • Click Delete to permanently remove the table from the tables sidebar.


Creating a View

Within each Table, you can then save particular views for easy access to specific data groupings.

  • In the Home menu, click Tables, and select the desired table within the sidebar.

  • Click the view dropdown in the top lefthand corner, then click Create view.

  • Name your new view, and select a Dataset. Each dataset pulls a different grouping of data fields for you to view and edit accordingly.

  • When you're ready, click Confirm and create view.


Renaming/Deleting a View

  • In the Home menu, click Tables, and select the desired table within the sidebar.

  • Click the view dropdown in the top lefthand corner, then hover over the desired view.

  • Click Rename to change the display title of the view.

  • Click Delete to permanently remove the view.


Duplicating a View

  • In the Home menu, click Tables, and select the desired table within the sidebar.

  • Click the view dropdown in the top lefthand corner, then hover over the desired view.

  • Click Duplicate to create a copy of this view in the same Table.


Saving a View

  • When Filters, Sorts or edits to selected Columns are applied to a view it is possible to save this as the default for this View or as a seperate copy of that view to be worked on later.

  • After applying any of these settings an option to Save will appear. Clicking Save will set this as the default for this view.

  • To Save as as separate view you can click the โŒ„ button and select Save as new view. A copy of this view with applied settings will be saved in the same Table.
