The AI Companion is an advanced HR tool designed to streamline a number of HR-related tasks and queries. It uses data with your Humaans account and information within your documents to provide accurate information specific to your organisation.

Before you begin
Before enabling the AI Companion for your organisation, there ae some steps we recommend taking. To learn more, see this guide.
Enabling the AI Companion
Users with Owner permissions can enable AI Companion access to other roles with the following steps:
In the Home menu, click Settings, then click Permissions.
Click the desired role, and then scroll to Workspace permissions.
Under Companion, check Can access AI Companion.
The AI Companion's access is controlled by your permissions settings. Before enabling access, we recommend reviewing the permissions for each role, including their view/edit permissions for Document types.
Using the AI companion
You can access the Companion with the following steps:
Click the AI Companion button in the bottom left-hand corner of the Humaans dashboard.
The most recent conversation will appear within the pop-up window, if it was not removed.
To start a new conversation, click New thread.
Add your queries into the Ask me anything field at the bottom of the Ai Companion pop-up window.
You can only post one question/comment at a time, once the Companion has responded, you can reply as needed.
The capabilities of the AI Companion
The AI Companion can be used for a large variety of requests, to assist owners in finding information about their organisation effectively.
Retrieve information about employees, teams, and departments.
Access and interpret company policies and documents that are directly uploaded to your Humaans account.
Answer queries related to HR data points (tenure, salaries, and time off).
Draft emails and other documents based on provided templates uploaded via documents.
Draft emails based on the data within Humaans.
Assist with onboarding processes by providing necessary information.
Engage in natural language conversations to obtain information.
Reference previous parts of the conversation to provide contextually relevant answers.

Some example queries you can use as an admin are:
Who is on vacation next week?
What is the Wi-Fi password for guests?*
Who does xxx report to?
What is the tenure of xxx?
What is the travel budget for business trips?*
Can I bring visitors to the office?
Write a draft onboarding email for xxx, using our onboarding policy as reference.*
Some example queries your employees/users could use are:
What department am I in?
How many days of PTO do I have left?
Who is my current manager?
Have I used any sick leave this year?
