Prorating balances based on FTE
Prorating balances based on FTE
Updated over a month ago

When setting up your time away policies, you can all automatic proration of user allowances based on the FTE assigned through their working pattern.

In this guide, we'll go through the steps needed to set automatic proration based on the FTE of your users.

We don't recommend editing existing policies with new time away settings such as FTE proration. This will affect historical data and may cause unexpected changes to user balances.

Instead, we recommend creating a new version of the policies and applying them accordingly. For more, see Updating your policy functionality.

Applying FTE proration to a policy

  • When setting up a policy, click on the desired type you wish to prorate.

  • When Limited allocation is selected, scroll down and enable Pro-rate based on % FTE.

  • When you're ready, save your changes.

Now, whenever a user has an FTE less than 1, and is assigned to this policy, their allowance will be prorated accordingly.
