Best practices to keep your Huncho Gadgets account secure.

Strong Password Guidelines:

  • Use at least 12 characters

  • Include uppercase and lowercase letters

  • Add numbers and special characters

  • Avoid common words or personal information

  • Don't reuse passwords from other sites

  • Change your password every 3-6 months

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of security:

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Security"

  2. Enable two-factor authentication

  3. Choose your method: SMS or authenticator app

  4. Save backup codes in a secure location

Recognizing Account Takeover Attempts: Warning signs your account may be compromised:

  • Unexpected password reset emails

  • Orders you didn't place

  • Changed account information

  • Login notifications from unfamiliar locations

  • Unusual trade-in or buyback requests

What to Do If Compromised:

  1. Change your password immediately

  2. Check recent account activity

  3. Review and update security settings

  4. Contact support to report the incident

  5. Check connected payment methods

  6. Enable 2FA if not already active
