When setting up a widget on your dashboard, you will have the option to set up a specific performance indicator. This indicator will set the benchmark for success for each data point and provide at-a-glance visibility of performance when viewing your dashboard.

How to Set Up a Benchmark for Your Widget

Step 1: Create a New Widget

  • Begin by creating a new widget on your dashboard.

  • Step 2: Select Your Data Connector

    • Choose the connector from which you want to display data.

Step 3: Choose Benchmark Type

  • Pre-set data points: The benchmark is automatically set based on the type of data (e.g., numerical, percentage, time).

  • Manual widgets: Use the drop-down menu to define the datapoint type.

Step 4: Set Benchmark Values

  • Add a value to the green target to indicate what is considered high-performing.

  • Add a value to the red target to indicate what is considered low-performing.

  • If the widget’s value falls between the green and red targets, the indicator will be grey.

Step 5: Save Your Changes

  • Once you have set your benchmarks, click Save Changes to save your widget and the benchmark configuration.

Step 6: View Your Widget

  • Your widget will now display a green, red, or grey dot, based on whether the data meets the benchmark criteria.

Step 7: Monitor Benchmark Status

  • Your benchmark indicator will initially appear white while Hurree fetches the data.

  • Check the Benchmark Indicator Key at the bottom right of your dashboard to see the number of high, low, and intermediate-performing widgets.
