Removing personal information from third-party websites—such as data brokers, social platforms, and public record aggregators—is not instantaneous. In our experience, removals can happen as quickly as 7 days, may take up to 75 days in more complex cases, and on average, we see member data successfully removed within approximately 30 days.
These timelines vary because there is no universal legal or operational standard requiring third parties to process removal requests within a fixed timeframe. Hush must work within each counter-party’s individual privacy policy, verification requirements, and internal review processes.
Additionally, some data brokers and public-facing websites are consistently slower to respond or introduce unnecessary friction before honoring valid removal requests—even when submitted by authorized agents. Providers such as RocketReach, Radaris, Intelius, and sites like Zillow are known for extended delays, repeated verification steps, or limited responsiveness.
Once a removal request is initiated, Hush actively tracks its progress and follows up as required. A vulnerability remaining visible does not indicate inaction—it typically reflects the counter-party’s processing timeline.
