Selfies have long been a staple of social media, but hackers can parse data from photos and can then use the information to find out more about you. Selfies may reveal your gender, age, location, and other data points. For example, sometimes people pose in front of their home address or license plate, or outside of a landmark in their neighborhood, which gives away your location. Hackers can use your personal image to steal your identity or for extortion if they find compromising information.
