How We Manage and Protect Your Online Profile Data

At Hush, we prioritize removing your personal information from online sources while ensuring accuracy and privacy. Here’s what you need to know about how we handle links, duplicates, and ongoing monitoring.

1. We Focus on Your Direct Profiles

Only links that contain your personal information are remediated.

  • Directory pages or family/associate links are not removed, unless they involve children under 18.

  • This ensures we focus on your data without affecting unrelated individuals.

2. Duplicate Links Are Normal

The same profile may appear under multiple URLs.

  • All duplicates point to the same profile and will be handled together.

  • You don’t need to flag these separately — our team addresses them automatically.

3. False Positives Are Avoided

Some links may display relatives or other people with similar names.

  • We do not remove these, so your actual information remains the priority.

  • This prevents errors and ensures we target only relevant data.

4. Broken or Already Removed Links Are Safe

Links that no longer exist or are inaccessible require no further action.

  • You can rest assured your information is no longer publicly visible in these cases.

5. Privacy Is Respected in Property Images

We only tag images associated with your current residence.

  • Previous addresses are excluded to protect your privacy.

  • This ensures compliance with our privacy standards and the Hush Method.

6. Pages Refresh on a Regular Cycle

For non-Elite clients, pages refresh every 4 weeks.

  • New entries may appear only after this cycle, so removals may take effect over time.

7. Ongoing Monitoring for New Links

Some sites automatically generate new URLs after a previous removal.

  • We continuously monitor for these new entries and remediate them promptly.

  • This ensures ongoing protection of your personal information.

8. Complete Information Helps Us Protect You Faster

Providing full and accurate details — such as current and past phone numbers, age, aliases, and past zip codes — enables us to:

  • Identify all relevant links more efficiently.

  • Reduce the risk of false positives.

  • Remove sensitive data quickly and accurately.
