Cancel a Booking & Refund a Borrower

If a borrower cancels a booking, our standard cancellation policy applies—meaning they may not receive a full refund depending on the timing.

However, if you, the lender, cancel a booking, the borrower will always receive a full refund, including the booking fee. Because of this, it’s important that you initiate the cancellation if a change is needed and a refund is justified.

How to Cancel and Refund a Booking

Via the App or Mobile Web

  1. Go to the booking in your account.

  2. Scroll down and tap “Refund the rental.”

  3. A confirmation window will appear—confirm that you want to cancel and refund the borrower.

Once a rental is canceled and refunded, it cannot be undone, so make sure you're certain before proceeding.



​Via the Web on a Computer

  1. Find the booking under your Upcoming or Ongoing rentals.

    Note: You cannot refund a Completed booking yourself. If a refund is needed after completion, please contact Hygglo Support.

  2. In the booking details, click the purple “Refund the rental” button at the bottom left.

  3. A confirmation message will appear letting you know the full amount will be refunded—confirm to complete the cancellation.
