What makes up a program in Hyperproof?

Different auditing, governing, and standardizing organizations (managing authorities) use different terminology that refers to these same concepts in Hyperproof. In Hyperproof, we use requirements and illustrative controls to make up a program.

Requirements: These are the objectives that need to be met as stated by the managing authority. These are the same for all companies.

Controls: These are things you do or goals you achieve within your company, which they if performed consistently and correctly, will ensure the company meets the requirements. Since every company is different, each company has different controls.

What are illustrative controls?

Often, programs are a set of 'required controls', such as those specified by FedRAMP - these are stored in Hyperproof as 'Requirements'. Many of our programs include illustrative controls that match word for word with requirements, but you can also design your own controls.

Workshop Description

In this workshop, we'll learn how to take the first steps for adding Hyperproof illustrative controls to your programs! We'll discuss topics like how to bulk add your controls, add controls after a program is started, and so much more! Note, this workshop will be geared toward how to use Hyperproof to get started with a program, and not be security compliance-focused. Keep an eye out for future workshops about security compliance!
