The approval workflow provides a structured process that ensures completed work is formally reviewed and verified by designated approvers before being finalized. When a record, such as a policy, is submitted, Hyperproof creates a series of approvals based on the configured approval flow for the record. Each approver receives an approval to review the work. Approvers can approve the submitted work or request changes, allowing them to provide direct feedback.
This workflow provides your organization with:
Quality assurance: Independent review confirms accuracy and completeness.
Feedback capture: Approvers can document required changes or improvements.
Evidence of approval: All decisions are recorded, creating a clear audit trail.
Efficiency: Automated records streamline and standardize the process.
The approval workflow can be used with the following:
Policies - When a policy version moves from the Draft to the Approval stage, an approval is created, and individual approvals are assigned to a list of approvers that you select. See Policy approvals.
Repeating tasks - When you create or edit a repeating task, you can configure an approval workflow. That approval process is included in any tasks created by the repeating task. When the task is submitted, an approval is created to review the task and the linked proof. See Creating a repeating task with an approval.
Risk evaluations - When you create a risk assessment, you can configure an approval workflow. That approval process is included in any risk evaluations added to the assessment. When a completed risk evaluation is submitted, an approval is created, and individual approval records are assigned to the selected list of approvers. See Creating a risk assessment and Configuring an approval on an object.
Tasks - When a task is submitted, an approval to review the task and the linked proof is created, and individual approvals are assigned to a list of approvers that you select. See Creating a task with an approval.
