Daily Drawdown

The daily drawdown is a risk management rule that limits the maximum loss you can incur within a single trading day. At HyperTicks, it is calculated using the higher value between your account balance and equity at the start of each new trading day.

Daily Drawdown Limits by Account Type:

1-Step Challenge — 3%

2-Step Fast Challenge — 4%

Hyper Instant — 3%

Instant+ — 3%

How It Works:

The daily drawdown is calculated based on the highest value between your account balance and equity at any point during the trading day. Losses are tracked against this value to determine if the daily limit has been exceeded.

⚠️ Exceeding the daily drawdown limit will result in immediate account disqualification.

Example:

Account: 2-Step Fast Challenge — $50,000

Daily Drawdown Limit: 4%

Equity at end of previous day: $52,000

The daily drawdown is calculated on $52,000. The maximum allowable loss for the next trading day is $2,080 (4% of $52,000). Any losses beyond this amount will result in an account breach.
