Canvassing Report serves two main functions for Walk Surveys: tracking survey progress and fraud prevention. Canvassing Report is not used for assigning volunteers in v4. For information on that process, check out our help guide: Assigning Volunteers to Walkbooks
Access Canvassing Report
From Field > Surveys, hover over the survey you'd like to view progress on. A blue house icon will appear on the right. Select this icon to view the Canvassing Report.
View survey progress based on the entire survey, walkbook, or individual volunteer. The menu on the right will allow you to toggle between each tab.

Survey Tab
The Survey tab will allow you to toggle between Households and Walkbooks.
Households will display all households in the survey. Zoom in to view progress for each household. You can choose to view collection points in this section as well (discussed more below).
Sort responses by question from the drop-down that says 'Any Question'. Sort by specific answers from 'Any Answer'.
Narrow down results by start and end date or choose a volunteer from the drop-down at the bottom of your screen. This will allow you to view overall volunteer progress by household.
Toggle to Walkbooks to view the progress of each book. Black will indicate that a book has not been started. Yellow will indicate some progress has been made. Green will indicate that the book is complete.
Walkbook Tab
The Walkbook tab displays results by individual walkbook. Select the book number you'd like to view from the 'All Walkbooks' drop-down. The map will load to display household responses and collection points.
Collection Points
Collection Points are blue dots on Canvassing Report maps that indicate a volunteer's location while knocking for a survey. You can make sure they're enabled by checking the box next to 'Show collection points on map'. They should be within approximately a 0.3 mi radius of a home to show that the volunteer was physically at a household. Some neighborhoods will display dots at every home, while others will display dots more sporadically. The location of the dot will depend on what a satellite picks up, so results can vary.
