1. Introduction

The ENRL page provides a detailed view of ENRL data (easting, northing, level, point X/Y/Z) for project instruments, focusing on spatial and coordinate-related attributes. It supports users in managing instrument positioning and type classification.

This page allows you to:

  • Check instrument type, name, and coordinate values (easting, northing, level, point X/Y/Z)

  • Manually add new / edit existing ENRL records to define instrument coordinates

2. Page Navigation

  1. Sign in to GeoSens.

  2. Click on left-hand corner icon 'Setting', click to expand 'INIT | REV | CALI | DATA'→ click INIT - ENRL.

    1. Instrument Type Filter: Dropdown filter for instrument types

    2. Function Bar: Functional buttons for creating, editing, exporting, etc.

    3. ENRL Data Table: data grid to show ENRL data.

3. Instrument Type Filter

The "Select a Project Instrument Type" dropdown helps focus on specific instrument types.

To use the filter:

  • Open the dropdown by clicking the field with the down arrow

  • Select a type by scrolling or typing to search (e.g., BOS, Piezometer, Inclinometer, Tiltmeter, Extensometer, Strain Gauge, Crack Meter, Load Cell, Weather Station)

  • Apply the selection by clicking the desired type; the table updates automatically

  • Clear the filter by clicking the "X" to show all instruments again

Strategic use:

  • Select specific types to narrow down the list before reviewing or exporting data for targeted instruments

  • Combine with column filters for precise data views

4. Instruments INIT Table Introduction

4.1 Table Field Introduction

This section introduces the Instruments ENRL Table fields and how to read the table.

Field Name

Description

Instrument Type

Classification of the instrument (e.g., XYZ Prisms).

Instrument Name

Unique name for the instrument.

Easting

Easting coordinate.

Northing

Northing coordinate.

Level

Reduce Level / Ground Level.

Point X

X-coordinate of the instrument’s specific point location.

Point Y

Y-coordinate of the instrument’s specific point location.

Point Z

Z-coordinate (height/depth) of the instrument’s specific point location.

4.2 Filtering and Sorting

Filtering Function

  • Click on the filtering icon ‘’, type in the key words to narrow down records, tick on one or multiple items in the list to apply the filter.

Sorting Function

  • Click on column headers to sort your data.

  • Toggle between ascending and descending order to enhance data management efficiency.

5. Function Bar (Top Right)

This section provides introduction to each function.

Function

Description

Edit Grid

Enables inline editing of parameter values directly in the grid.

Import

Bulk-uploading ENRL data for multiple instruments.

Click to download the data template, fill in fields as required, and bulk-import ENRL data.

Export

Download the displayed data into an Excel file.

  • By Selection: all ticked and selected parameter rows will be exported via email.

  • By Type: If an instrument type is selected in the parameter bulk-importing bar, then all instruments in this type will be exported via email.

Add

Click on 'Edit Grid' and click on '+Add' button, a new row will appear in the ENRL data table for single entry.

Delete

Tick to select an existing row of instrument parameter. Click on 'Delete' to delete entries (only enabled with selection).

Copy

Tick to select an existing row of instrument parameter. Click on 'Copy' to duplicate the setting for quick editing. It will be renamed ending with '(Copy)', click 'Edit' to make further changes.

6. Usage Workflow Example

A. How to Check Existing ENRL Data

  1. Use the Instrument Type Filter to narrow down the instrument list.

  2. Apply column filters (e.g., Instrument Type, Name) to refine the data further.

  3. Review the filtered ENRL data in the table.

  4. Identify any missing or incorrect data for follow-up or correction.

B. Creating a New ENRL Record

  1. Click 'Edit Grid' to enter editing mode, and click on '+Add' button. A new row will appear in the ENRL Data table.

  2. Enter required details: Instrument Type, Name, Easting, Northing, Level, Point X/Y/Z.

  3. Save the record to add it to the ENRL table.

  4. Confirm the new entry appears correctly in the list.

C. Bulk Importing ENRL Data

  1. Click the 'Import' option and download the data template file.

  2. Fill in the fields in the data template file.

  3. Click on 'import' button to upload the file and complete the bulk-importing.

D. Editing Existing ENRL Data

  1. Locate the instrument using filters.
