5.8 How can I get access to Spotify for Artists (S4A) as a label?

Learn how labels can gain access to Spotify for Artists and use tools for catalog management, pitching, and analytics.

Spotify for Artists gives labels the tools to get the most out of Spotify - from detailed insights to managing multiple artists. With label access, you’ll have a wide range of powerful features:

  • Album and track data for your entire catalog.

  • Individual stats with customizable date ranges.

  • Playlist pitching, Canvas uploads, and performance analytics.

  • Team management with multiple users.

  • An activity overview that tracks all changes and actions within your label profile.

To register your label and gain access to your catalog, you’ll need:

  • A Spotify account and your business email address.

  • The URIs of at least three tracks that have already been delivered to Spotify by you or your label (only required for first-time registration).

If your company is already set up in Spotify for Artists, your request will automatically be forwarded to your label team’s admin.

Reach New Fans with Spotify Discovery Mode

You can now manage and enable Spotify Discovery Mode directly through our platform to influence your reach within Spotify’s algorithmic contexts. This feature is available to artists who meet Spotify’s eligibility requirements.

Prerequisites / qualification of using Discovery Mode in Spotify

To qualify for Spotify Discovery Mode and start reaching new listeners through personalized recommendations, your artist profile and tracks must meet specific eligibility criteria. To participate, you must have:

  • an active Spotify for Artists team

  • at least 25,000 monthly listeners, and

  • at least three eligible songs that have been released for at least 30 days and have met Spotify’s recent streaming and monetization requirements

Required information when asking for this feature via iGroove

  • your iGroove account (email address)

  • release title

  • EAN / UPC

Deadlines and Processing

Because our team has a set monthly capacity for processing these submissions, we recommend submitting your requests as early as possible to secure your slot. Please note the following processing timeline:

  • By the 20th of the month: Requests submitted by this date will take effect on the 1st of the following month.

  • After the 20th of the month: Requests submitted after this deadline may not take effect until the subsequent month's cycle (e.g., a request on the 21st of January may not go live until March 1st).
