How to invite participants to your created experiences?

To get data, you need to invite “participants” (or as we like to call them, “brains”... maybe we were zombies in a past life 🤔)! Think of these participants as the equivalent of survey respondents, but offering to share how their brain responded to your experience rather than their opinion after the fact. You can also always participate yourself to get started!

We’ve created a couple of ways to invite participants so that you can choose the one that’s most convenient for you:

Let Immersion send invites & instructions: During experience setup, you have the option of letting us send the invite and instructions to participants - simply enter email addresses into the field, or upload a CSV of addresses. Our system will send them an email with everything they need to participate!

  • Copy a public link to share: You’re also given a shareable link, which you can add into your own personally crafted email or share through social media, Slack, etc.! This will provide instructions on app download and participation.

  • Provide a code: You can also ask participants with a supported smartwatch or fitness sensor to download the ‘Immersion Mobile’ app (available on iPhone & Android), and then you can supply an experience code. You’ll find the 5-digit alphanumeric code at the end of the shareable link (e.g., pre.getimmersion.com/r2172).

  • Send a calendar invite: When creating a live experience, you have the option of inviting through your calendar app. The calendar invite will integrate into your calendar system (Outlook, iCal, Google) and Immersion will automatically create your event, send invites, and start/stop the event according to your schedule. To initiate this, add experience@immersion-event.com to your event invite so that we can do all the setup for you. For more detail on setting up measurements through your calendar system, check out this article!

Nerdy tip: If you are inviting a group or a listserv to the meeting, be sure to expand the list so all emails show, as Immersion cannot access individuals in an internal list.

Once you've successfully invited the group to participate, you might begin to wonder what it actually looks like to participate in an Immersion measurement. Don't worry, we got you! Feel free to head to the linked article for more information on participating.
