All our cars come with return insurance from ???????. This ensures you as a customer predictability so that you do not experience financial surprises when the car is returned. Of course, this does not absolve you from all responsibility. We want all our customers to treat the cars with respect, just as you would if the car were your own.

To help you as a customer and us as a supplier, a common standard has been set in the Dutch car industry for what is considered to be normal and abnormal wear and tear on a car by, for example, return or subscription, leasing or rental. Normal wear is defined as wear that must be expected after a given age and mileage, while abnormal wear is the opposite.

Wear on the exterior:

By the exterior of a car is meant paint, mirrors, windows, lights and the like. The following damage is considered abnormal wear on the exterior:

  • Easily visible scratches that must be painted and that cannot be polished away

  • Scratches that have damaged paint through to metal and / or where rust is visible

  • Windscreen damage with stone chips or scratches, which means that the window must be repaired or replaced

  • Damage to headlight glass, turn signal glass, brake light glass, possibly cornering fog glass

  • Dents that are easily visible at a distance of 1-1.5 meters - scratches on the bumper and / or deformation of the bumpers are assessed at discretion

Wear and tear on the interior:

By the interior of a car is meant furniture. The following wear on the interior is considered abnormal wear:

  • Holes in the dashboard for mobile phone holder, navigation equipment or similar mounted equipment

  • Cracks or holes in seat covers and carpets

  • Rips or holes on panels. For example, door and luggage compartment panels

  • Damage to roofing

  • Dirty seat or roof coverings that cannot be cleaned in the usual way and that need to be cleaned or replaced

  • Damage to seat belts or belt fasteners

  • Odor that can not be removed without a comprehensive cleaning of the interior (smoke, dog, etc.)
