Our new Badge System offers an exciting way to engage with your community, celebrate their contributions, and create a vibrant and supportive environment. It's time to unlock the potential of gamification and take your prayer community to new heights. Let's embark on this journey together!
Default Badges Setup
Badges can be considered as achievements that users receive for various activities within the Prayer community. These activities include:
Praying for others: Users click the "I will pray" button on published requests and offer their prayers.
Posting Requests/Reports: Users submit Prayer Requests and Praise Reports.
Posting comments: Users add comments.
Reporting: Users flag posts containing inappropriate content.
Reporting comments: Users flag comments containing inappropriate content.
Moderating (for Administrators only): Approve or reject posts submitted by users.
A badge is awarded to a users after they engage in a specified number of activities of a particular type. For example, if they pray for someone 25 times, 50 times, and so on.
When a user is awarded a badge, they are also assigned a tag with the same name.
For your convenience, we have already added ready-made badges and their associated settings for the main types of user activities. You can find them in the "People” - “Settings" section under the "Gamification" tab.
You can modify the existing badges to suit your preferences. Additionally, you can create any number of new badges.
As you may have noticed, separate badges have been created for different quantities of the same actions. When a user is awarded the next badge in sequence based on their activity, the previous badge is automatically removed from their profile (we will explain in detail how this works below).
For example, if a user who received the Prayer Warrior badge after 25 prayers then prays 50 times, this badge will be replaced with Intercessor. And so forth, following the sequence.

Defining & Highlighting New Users
During registration, new users may see a checkbox below the form with the label "I’m New", which is pre-selected by default.
If left active, users are automatically labeled with the tag "New," and they are awarded the highlighted "NEW" badge.
Users who are assigned the "NEW" badge receive an additional welcome email titled "A Warm Welcome" from the pastor after registration.
Additionally, posts from these users are highlighted with the "NEW" badge for administrators when they access the admin panel from mobile devices to review and moderate posts. This way they can notice new users and provide a special welcome notes, etc.
Defining & Highlighting New Users functionality can be configured in the “General Prayers Settings”, where you can select any necessary tags.
Change Badge Icons
You can use our badge icons or any other designs created by your designer. To replace the badge icon, simply select the desired badge from the presets on the right and click on it.
You can also upload your own icon in SVG format. To do this, remove the current icon using the "Recycle Bin” button, and you will see the standard interface for adding your icon through drag & drop.
You can also customize the color of the icon and the background of the badge. Next to the badge, you'll find buttons:
Edit badge color: Select the color for the background.
Edit icon color: Choose the color for the icon.
Highlight specific badges
Usually, badges are added in a single row below the user's avatar.
However, there is an option to highlight one selected badge. In this case, it will be displayed separately to the right of the avatar. We've added the 'Highlighted Badge' feature to shine a spotlight on specific user types. For instance, highlighting new users can enhance visibility, allowing your team and the entire prayer wall community to extend a warm and tailored welcome to newcomers. This aligns with our strategic growth framework, ensuring that new users receive the special attention and support needed as they become part of our community. This could also be used in case when you need to highlight ministry partners or donors and so on.
To do this, there is an option called "Highlight badge," which is located in the list to the right of each badge.
By default, the "Highlight badge" option is assigned to the service badge "NEW", which is associated with the corresponding type and can be found in the "Types & Tags" tab.
You can make any of the badges you choose highlighted by checking the "Highlight badge" option in the list. For example, for the "Prayer Warrior" badge.
You can also do this from within the open badge window by selecting a similar option.
After doing so, the "NEW" badge becomes a regular one and starts to be displayed below the avatar.
When users are awarded the highlighted badge, in this example "Prayer Warrior," it appears to the right of the avatar.
Customize Badge Email Notifications
You can configure the emails that users will receive after being awarded a specific badges.
To do this, enable the option "Set up an email to be sent to the user upon receiving the badge," which is located at the bottom of the badge editing window.
After enabling this option, text fields for customizing the email will appear at the bottom:
Subject
Body
For your convenience, we have already set up emails for all ready-made badges.
You can customize them as per your preference. If you require further customization for email designs or any other assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@impactfactors.net. We can implement any custom feature or request.
Create New Badges
To create a new badge, open the "People" - "Settings," and navigate to the "Gamification" tab.
Click on the "Add New" button.
In the window that opened, add the following fields and data for the new badge:
Name: The title under which this badge is saved in the list.
Choose an action: A list of activities for which badges are awarded.
Choose user type: Selecting the type of users to whom this badge will be assigned (All Users / Administrators / Team members).
Action quantity: The number of actions after which this badge is awarded.
Badge: Module for selecting the badge icon, its color, and background color. You can choose an icon from the sets on the right or upload your own in SVG format.
Highlight badge: Enable the highlighted mode for this badge.
Email module (optional): This section allows you to customize the text of the email that the user receives after being assigned this badge.
After finishing the badge addition, click "Save" at the bottom of the window to complete the process.
Establish Badge Progression
To ensure dynamic progression of badges, separate badges have been created for different quantities of the same actions.
When a user is awarded the next badge in sequence based on their activity, the previous badge is automatically removed from their profile.
For example, if a user who received the “Prayer Warrior“ badge after 25 prayers then prays 50 times, this badge will be replaced with“Intercessor“. And so forth, following the sequence.
This is achieved through tag funnels, as each badge corresponds to its own tag.
Tag funnels management is located in the "People" section, under "Settings", in tab “Tag funnels”.
Here, for your convenience, we have already added funnels that ensure progression for all pre-made badges.
For instance, the Prayer funnel contains all 8 badges from “Prayer Warrior” to “Devout” in the specified sequence.
This funnel operates in the following manner:
Initially, the user is assigned the badge "Prayer Warrior".
When they achieve the "Intercessor" badge, the "Prayer Warrior" badge is removed from the user's profile.
Upon attaining the "Faithful Friend" badge, it appears in the profile in place of "Intercessor".
This pattern continues up to and including the "Devout" badge.
To create a new funnel, in the "Tag funnels" list, click on "Add".
In the window that opens:
Enter a name for the new funnel
Specify the required number of levels
Choose the necessary tags from the list on the right and drag them to their corresponding levels in the funnel.
After everything is set up, click "Save" at the bottom of the window to complete the process.
User Experience
How Users See and Use Badges
Users can see their own badges as well as the badges of other users on the PrayerPlatform™ widget.
Badges introduce an element of gamification to the widget usage process and provide additional information about users that can be easily interpreted visually.
They can also add a competitive element among users, motivating them to engage in more activities.
Badge Visibility on User Profiles
Users can control how their badges are displayed.
In the user profile, there's a section for “Badges” where all the badges earned by that user are visible.
The “Badges” section appears in the profile once a user receives at least one badge.
This section includes:
Toggle Switch "Show my Badges": Enables or disables the visibility of all user badges. It's enabled by default.
Checkboxes for each badge: Users can use these to selectively hide specific badges from being displayed.
Highlighted badges
Usually, all badges are displayed in a row beneath the user's avatar.
If an administrator has enabled the highlight option for a specific badge, it will appear on the right side of the user's avatar.
Badge Progress and Achievements
To ensure dynamic progression of badges, separate badges have been created for different quantities of the same actions.
When a user is awarded the next badge in sequence based on their activity, the previous badge is automatically removed from their profile.
For example, if a user who received the Prayer Warrior badge after 25 prayers then prays 50 times, this badge will be replaced with Intercessor.
And so forth, in accordance with the sequence set by the administrators.
After receiving each new badge, the user receives an email with congratulations corresponding to that badge.
