Speaker Rules:

Preserving the power of story

To win the hearts and minds of ImpactClub® members, through the power of their built StoryEngine, there are no politics and the stakes are high. No playing favorites. And no creative offers (made by the presenters or co-founders). It all comes down to the power of the story, and how deeply it resonates.

As mentioned, the StoryEngine drives the cause. ImpactClub® is an organization committed to incentivizing local charities to build their StoryEngine. Otherwise, fundraising (to fund the impact charities wish to make) will forever be difficult.

In the interest of fairness, and to ensure that no other information may influence a charity's StoryEngine - or a voter's decision - prior to the event, we ask every presenting charity adhere to the following Speaker Rules:

Before the Event:

  • No contact with other charities (registered with ImpactClub®)

  • No politicking for votes

  • No public announcements/disclosures that your charity is speaking

  • No “awareness” campaigns, ads, or incentives

During the Event:

  • Only 1 speaker is allowed (per charity)

  • Only 5 minutes to speak (time reminders given)

  • No additional support materials (handouts, flyers, stage props, visual aids, videos, etc.)

  • No animals

  • No politicking for votes (this includes posts on Facebook)

  • No sabotaging/disrupting/interrupting other speakers
