Document Uploads in Shift Notes (Mobile App)

We’ve added support for PDF document uploads directly within Shift Notes on the mobile app, making it easier to attach clinical and supporting documentation to a shift as it happens.

Staff can now upload PDFs in two ways. Documents can be added during the checkout flow, alongside shift completion and final notes. They can also be uploaded after checkout when adding or reviewing multiple shift notes for the same shift. In both cases, the documents are securely linked to the shift and the relevant client record.

This is particularly useful for clinical scenarios where supporting evidence is required.

For example, if a nurse completes a wound assessment, the assessment form can be uploaded immediately and included with the shift notes, rather than being stored separately or emailed later.

All uploaded documents are grouped with the shift notes for that client, ensuring reviewers see the full context in one place. This improves record accuracy, supports clinical handover, and helps maintain clear, auditable documentation without adding complexity to staff workflows.

This update ensures important documentation is captured at the point of care, reducing follow-ups and improving overall data quality.
