NDIS Budget 'Sync Budget' Function

The Sync Budget button is used to refresh how a client’s NDIS budget is being calculated and displayed for the current budget period.

You’ll find Sync Budget inside the client’s budget activity view (the Budget Activity modal). It’s mainly used when you want Imploy to re-check what should be linked to the budget and make sure the budget activity and balances reflect the latest information.

What happens when you sync

When you click Sync Budget, Imploy will do two key things:

First, it will link any billable entries that fall within the budget period (based on the budget start/creation date through to the renewal date). This helps ensure the budget utilisation figures are based on the correct set of services delivered in that budget period.

Second, it will sync temporary funding for that budget. This refreshes how temporary funding is applied and displayed, including the remaining and used amounts in each funding category.

After the sync finishes, the Budget Activity screen refreshes so you can immediately see any updated categories, activity rows, and remaining balances.

When you should use it

Sync Budget is helpful if:

  • You’ve recently added or updated billable entries and the budget view hasn’t caught up yet, or wasn't created.

  • Temporary funding has been added/changed and you want the latest remaining/used values to recalculate

  • You suspect budget activity is missing items that should be included in the current budget period

What you’ll see during sync

While the sync is running, the button shows a loading state and can’t be clicked again. Once complete, you’ll see a success message and the activity list will reload with the most up-to-date data.

If something goes wrong, you’ll see an error message and nothing will be changed until the sync can be run successfully.
