Duplicate Posts on the Homepage: Offset Feature

How to use the offset feature in the Latest Post Block to avoid duplicate posts on your Homepage

Updated over 8 months ago

When building a Homepage, it's common to feature your newest story at the top of the page using the Featured Post block. However, if you're also using the Latest Post block elsewhere on the page to display recent articles, you might notice that it includes the same post already shown in the Featured area.

To prevent this, you can use the Offset feature in the Latest Post block to "skip" a certain number of posts from the top of your list. This ensures your Homepage highlights a variety of content without accidental duplicates!

✅ Why Use the Offset Feature?

The Offset setting tells the Latest Post block how many of the most recent posts to skip before it starts displaying content. For example:

  • If Offset is set to 0, it will start from the very latest post.

  • If Offset is set to 1, it will skip the latest post and start from the second-most recent post — perfect when your top story is already shown elsewhere.

📌 Step-by-Step Instructions
