Audio and sound is supported through CCHD but can vary on a case by case based due to hardware. You will need to confirm that the hardware you are utilizing also supports sound at both the player and display level. 

When it comes to players, some only allow audio out of HDMI while others use an AUX jack   It is important to note some commercial displays do not come standard with internal speakers. 

When using audio and sound, you should consider the location of the screen and people's extended exposure. Many receptionists and office workers have been driven mad by a video playing on a loop that they could hear 100's of times per day.
