My Cisco DMP doesn’t have network connectivity and is now showing a red light. Why?
Cisco DMPs require a network connection to boot. If you are attempting to boot a Cisco DMP without a network connection or without the network cable plugged in, you will need to plug it into a hub or router to bring it back online.
I reset my Cisco 4305/4310/4400, but I am not getting a screen with an IP Address
When a Cisco DMP is properly connected to a display and a network, upon powering up the device you should be greeted by the Cisco welcome screen like the one above.
If you are not seeing this screen, there a couple things to check:
Make certain that your display and player are powered on and that your display is set to the right input.
Make note of the front of your DMP- if you are seeing a solid red light this indicates that your device is unable to acquire an IP on your network. A few potential causes could be a bad network port, or perhaps your network does not allow DHCP access.

Why does my Cisco 4305/4310/4400 keep restarting during playback?
There can be a number of factors as to why a player may be restarting, however, you may want to check that the player is connected to the network.
If you are using the player off of the network for a tradeshow or demo purposes, and this player is running version 5.2 firmware or higher, you may be required to connect the player to a router via a network cable. This router does not need Internet connectivity, however, it will continue to restart if it does not receive an IP address from a router.
