My Home – Your Hub for All Organisations

Learn how to use the My Home feature in IndyForms to manage multiple organisations.

Updated over a week ago

The My Home screen in IndyForms acts as your central hub for managing multiple organisations (also known as tenants) that you own or belong to. It’s designed for users who manage or collaborate across several workspaces — making it easy to switch between organisations, create new ones, and copy forms where you have permission.

What is “My Home”?

My Home gives you an at-a-glance view of every organisation you’re part of in IndyForms.

You can:

  • See all your organisations in one place

  • Quickly open any organisation

  • Create a new organisation

  • Copy forms between organisations you manage

This feature supports a multi-tenancy model, meaning one user account can belong to multiple, independent organisations.

How to Access My Home

Click the organisation name in the top navigation bar. At the bottom of the dropdown, select My Home.

Create or Access an Organisation

From My Home, you’ll see a row of cards under My Organisations:

  • Click a coloured card to open an existing organisation.

  • Click Create New Organisation + to start a new IndyForms workspace.

This layout gives you a quick, visual way to manage and jump between your workspaces.

Copy Forms Between Organisations

If you’re an Administrator in multiple organisations, you can easily copy form designs between them — either one-by-one or in bulk.

How to Copy Multiple Forms at Once

  1. Select the Source Organisation

In My Home, scroll to the organisation containing the forms you want to copy.

  2. Tick the Forms to Copy

Use the checkboxes to select one or more form designs. A blue button will appear once forms are chosen.

  3. Click ‘Copy X Selected Designs’ or Copy Design

This opens the Copy Forms modal.

  4. Choose the Destination Organisation

Use the dropdown to select which organisation you’d like to copy the forms into.

Only organisations where you have admin privileges will appear in the list.

  5. Click ‘Copy’

The selected form designs will be copied into the chosen destination organisation.

Important:

You must have an Administrator licence in both the source and destination organisations.

If you don’t, the organisation will not appear in the dropdown — even if you can view its forms.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. Can I belong to multiple organisations?

A. Yes! IndyForms supports multi-tenancy, meaning your single account can belong to (or manage) multiple separate organisations.

Q. Why can’t I see an organisation in the “Copy To” dropdown?

A. Only organisations where you hold an Administrator licence will be available as copy targets. If the organisation doesn’t appear, you likely don’t have the required admin permissions for that organisation.

Q. Can I copy multiple forms at once?

A. Yes — you can bulk copy forms by selecting multiple designs and clicking Copy X Selected Designs. You’ll then choose the destination organisation from a dropdown list.

Q. Do form copies include submissions or just the design?

A. Only the form design is copied — submissions do not carry over to the new organisation.

Q. Can I access My Home on mobile?

A. Yes, but for the best experience — especially for copying forms — we recommend using IndyForms on a desktop or tablet.

Q. Who can create a new organisation?

A. Any user can create a new organisation directly from the My Home screen, using the Create New Organisation + card.

💡 Tips

  • Use the organisation switcher at the top of your screen to quickly switch between tenants.

  • Filter forms by status (Active, Inactive, Any) to find what you need faster.

  • Standardise naming conventions for forms if you’re managing many organisations — this makes bulk copying clearer.

  • Check your admin level before copying forms. If something’s missing in the dropdown, it’s likely a permissions issue.
