Just describe the form you need—or upload a document—and the AI will instantly generate a ready-to-use template you can tweak to suit your needs.
How to Get Started
1. Start designing a form
From your Dashboard, click "Start designing a form" under the "Discover" section.
2. Select "Design with AI
Select the "Design with AI" option when prompted.
3. Describe or upload your form
Type what the form should include (e.g., "A contact form with name, email, and message").
You can add additional prompts to customise the output, such as adding sections or changing field types.
Or, upload a document (PDF, image, etc.), and the AI will generate a form based on it.
4. Review and click "Use This Design"
Once you're satisfied, click "Use This Design" to move it into the Form Builder.
5. Refine in the Form Builder
Here, you can:
Add conditional logic
Insert additional fields or branding
Adjust settings, permissions, and layout
6. Publish and share
When ready, click "Publish Form" and then "Share" to start collecting responses instantly.
💡 Tips for Better Results:
Start simple, then build on it: Begin with a basic prompt and gradually add details as the AI responds—this keeps things clear and manageable.
Use real-world language: Explain your form like you’re talking to a colleague (e.g., “I need a client intake form with consent and emergency contact info.”).
Specify what to avoid: If you don’t want a certain section or field, state it clearly (e.g., “No file upload needed”).
Include tone or audience hints: If your form is for kids, staff, or executives, tell the AI—this helps shape the style and questions.
Rephrase if needed: Didn’t get the result you expected? Try saying the same thing differently. AI responds best to clear, varied language.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I edit the form after the AI generates it?
A. Yes! After clicking Use This Design, you’ll enter the Form Builder where you can fully customise the form—add/remove fields, change layout, apply logic, and more.
Q. What file types can I upload to the AI Designer?
A. You can upload PDFs and image files (like PNG or JPG). These are great for turning existing paper forms or scanned documents into digital forms instantly.
Note: Word documents (.doc/.docx) aren’t supported just yet—but you can convert them to PDF before uploading.
Q. Can I use the AI Designer on an existing form?
A. No. The AI Designer is only available when you’re creating a new form. You can’t apply it to already-built forms.
Q. What if the AI form isn’t quite right?
A. No problem. You can provide the AI with additional instructions in the chat before using the design, or fine-tune everything manually in the builder.
💡Tips
Use clear, structured prompts, such as: “Create a client intake form with three sections: personal info, project scope, and agreement.”
Mention field types or logic early (e.g., “Add a dropdown for preferred contact method”).
After generating, use the builder to:
Reorder sections
Add branding or page breaks
Apply conditional rules (e.g., show/hide fields)
Don’t hesitate to regenerate a design or start over—AI will give you something new each time based on your feedback.
