The phone field type collects accurate and valid phone numbers from respondents, helping ensure that respondents can easily provide their contact information. Moreover, the phone number field captures the country code of the number, which allows for the country of origin to be displayed.
Step-by-Step Guide:
In the Form Fields panel, located on the right-hand side of your screen, drag and drop the Phone Input field onto your form. Alternatively, you can click on the "Add Item" button and choose the Phone Input field from the list.
For the Label, write a question or prompt that relates to the information you want to collect. For instance, you could write "Phone" or "Please enter your best contact number."
The Phone Input field type comes with optional customisations that you can use to tailor the field to your specific needs.
The options:Input Required: If you want to ensure that this field is answered, select Input Required.
Show Time Entered: This option adds an automatic date and time stamp with each answer.
Show User Last Edited: This option captures user details, which can be helpful for authenticity purposes.
The Summary Page Settings determine how you want to view the responses to your Phone Input field type in the records page. These are optional.
The options are:Filterable: Select this option to easily filter phone input responses for quick reference.
Display in List: Select this option to view phone input responses directly from the list.
Edit in List: Select this option to edit phone input responses in the display view.
Once you have completed the above steps, select the Preview button to see how your phone input fields will appear in action.
