The reason that you get DTC codes like U0253 - Lost Communication with APIM and the APIM is not present in ForScan when doing a Sync 4 conversion from Sync 3 is that the non-APIM modules are producing that error because they do not recognize the new module you installed. They do not recognize the APIM because it is too new for them to have been programmed to recognize it. This is totally normal and does not indicate anything is wrong.
