If the RAM truck has the LMS option code, then there's a black circular sensor that resembles a camera on the back of the factory mirror. That sensor is for seeing oncoming traffic and their head lamps at night time. This feature just auto-turns off the High Beam when active, and turns the High Beam back on once the oncoming vehicle's head lamps are not triggering the sensor.
MOPAR did not manufacture a digital camera rear view mirror with the automatic high beam feature. So that feature will be forfeited when upgrading to the digital camera rear view mirror. Oddly enough, the digital rear view mirror does have the metal bracket housing that could hold the sensor, but the circuit board inside the mirror does not have a connector for the ribbon cable coming from the sensor. So the sensor cannot be swapped over to the digital camera mirror.
