Intent data can provide powerful company insights into purchasing decisions from your ideal target market. With Intent data we like to assume that companies may be in the buyers market due to the high level search volume occurring in their company in a two week period.

Our Intent data is derived from quantity and frequency of online activity that can be traced back to that company's IP—activity such as employees downloading white pages, reading blog articles and attending webinars. The content they consume is traced and categorized into various Intent Topics.

Now that you understand how Intend data is sources and gathered let's review how to create an Intent Report using the Signals filter in Advanced Search!

Creating Your First Intent Report

  1. Go to Advanced Search

  2. Open the Signals Filter

  3. In the Signal Type section select Intent

  4. Optional: Insert Max # of Days Since Signal

  5. Choose up to 12 Intent Topics

  6. Enter a minimum Intent Score or leave it at 60.

  7. Hit Save

Once you’ve selected the Intent Topics you want to track, you can refine your search further by adding filters such as Location, Job Title, or Industry. When ready, click the Search button.

After a few seconds, your results will appear in the center of the screen. In the Relevant Signals column, you’ll see which topics each company has been searching for within the past two weeks.

Each topic is assigned an Intent Score ranging from 1 to 100. A higher score indicates greater online activity around that topic. With thousands of topics available, take some time to explore and identify the ones most relevant to your needs.
