Introduction

Salesforce Sandboxes allow you to safely test integrations without touching your live (Production) CRM data. Selling.com now fully supports connecting to Salesforce Sandboxes for contact export and sequence activity sync.

Important Before Connecting

  • Login URL: Always use https://test.salesforce.com for Sandbox accounts (not login.salesforce.com).

  • Username Format: [Production Email].[Sandbox Name]

  • Password Management: Sandbox passwords are separate from Production. Use "Forgot Password?" inside the Sandbox if needed.

  • Environment Switching: You can connect either to Sandbox or Production, not both at the same time. Disconnect before switching.

How to Connect β€” Step-by-Step

Follow these steps to complete your Sandbox connection:

Step 1: Choose Salesforce Sandbox in Selling.com

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations in Selling.com.

  • Under Contact Export Integrations/Sequence Activity Sync Integrations, click Connect under Salesforce.

  • In the dropdown menu, select "Sandbox" instead of "Production".

Step 2: Log In to Salesforce Sandbox

  • You will be redirected to https://test.salesforce.com (not the usual login URL).

  • Enter your Sandbox credentials:

    • Username: Combine your production email address with a dot (.) and your Sandbox name.

    • Example:

      • Production email: john.doe@company.com

      • Sandbox name: devsandbox

      • Final username: john.doe@company.com.devsandbox

    • Password: your Sandbox password (different from Production password).

  • Click Log in to Sandbox.

Conclusion

You are now connected to a Salesforce Sandbox through Selling.com.
You can safely test your contact exports and sequence activity syncs without impacting your live CRM.
