How to Use the New Suppressions Page?

🚨Important: What Does the New Suppressions Affect?

  • These suppressions apply only to searches and all exports, including those sent directly to Connect (Prospects page).

  • Automatically ensures your exported lists exclude unwanted or suppressed emails and domains, keeping your data accurate and relevant.

Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide on how to use Suppressions effectively👇:

Step 1: Navigate to the Suppressions Page

  • Go to the main navigation in Selling.com.

  • Click Search, then select Suppressions.

Step 2: Adding Emails and Domains to Suppressions

You can easily add both emails and domains:

Single Entry (Email or Domain)

  • Click + Add Domains, select Single Domain.

  • Enter either an email address (e.g., john@example.com) or a domain (e.g., example.com) and click Save.

Bulk Upload (Excel/CSV)

  • Click + Add Domains, select Excel.

  • Prepare a CSV file with a single column labeled clearly as Domain. You can include emails or domains (e.g., oracle.com, john@example.com).

  • Upload the CSV file, then click Upload CSV.

Step 3: Removing Emails and Domains from Suppressions

To remove entries from your suppression list, you have two options:

Single or Multiple Entries

  • Select the entries you want to remove.

  • Click the Remove Domains button.

Bulk Remove via CSV

  • Click Remove Domains, select Excel.

  • Upload a CSV file with a single column labeled Domain, containing the domains or emails you wish to remove.

  • Click Upload CSV.

Step 4: Using Suppressions in Advanced Search

Within Advanced Search, you’ll find two new suppression options clearly categorized:

Under Contact Details

  • Apply Email Suppressions

    • Select this to automatically exclude all suppressed emails from search results and exports.

Under ABM

  • Apply Domain Suppressions

    • Select this to automatically exclude all suppressed domains from search results and exports.

Check these boxes before running your search, and suppressed items will automatically disappear from your results.

Best Practices for Discover Suppressions

  • Regularly Audit: Review suppression lists monthly for accuracy.

  • Domain-level Blocking: Block entire domains to efficiently exclude multiple contacts simultaneously.
