Managing Bid Q&A

This article explains how to create and manage Bid Q&A lists and templates in INGENIOUS.BUILD, including adding categories, questions, and exporting lists. It guides users in structuring bid packages efficiently with reusable templates.

Overview

By leveraging Bid Q&A in INGENIOUS.BUILD, users can streamline bid package creation, ensure consistency, and simplify collaboration through customizable and exportable templates.


Process

Creating a Q&A List

  1. Access Lists & Templates

    • Navigate to Lists & Templates and click View Bid Q&A.

  2. Add a New List

    • Click Add List in the top-right corner and enter a name for your list (editable later).

  3. Add Categories

    • Click Add Category and provide a description of the type of questions you'll include.

  4. Add Questions

    • Click Add Question to include questions in the category.

    • Specify the answer type for each question:

      • Text Input

      • Yes/No

      • Drop-down

      • Multi-select

      • Number

      • Attachment

    • Use Save to finish or Save and Add Next to continue adding questions.

    Tip: You can also adjust the answer's character limit to ensure the response fits your needs. This allows for more concise or detailed answers as required.

  5. Finalize the List

    • Once all questions are added, click the Actions button in the top-right corner.

  6. Select Save Changes to save your list.

Note: You can also export the list to Excel by clicking Actions > Export to Excel.

The list is now ready to use for template creation.


Creating a Template

  1. Access the Templates Tab

    • Click on the Templates tab in the top menu.

  2. Add a New Template

    • Click Add Template in the top-right corner and name your template (editable later).

  3. Customize the Template

    • Add a description to help your team identify the template.

    • Select questions from your previously created list:

      • Highlight the desired questions.

      • Click the right arrow to move them into the template.

      • Use the double arrow to include all questions, if applicable.

  4. Save the Template

    • Click Actions > Save Template to finalize.


Next Steps

You can now apply the template to your Bid Packages for streamlined structuring and better collaboration.
