Start here! Supplemental information for completing the Owner's Rep training modules and homework

Welcome! πŸ‘‹ If your company is participating in the simulated training project, you're in the right place! If you are unsure if you are participating in the simulated training project, please contact one of your company administrators to verify.


Let's dive in!

Login to the INGENIOUS.BUILD Platform

  1. Enter your email address for the user

  2. Enter your password: <reach out to your company admin/leader for the password>

NOTE: The recommended browser for using the INGENIOUS.BUILD platform is Google Chrome.


The Left Hand Navigator

The Left Hand Navigator is the main way to navigate through your workspace. Take a moment to test out navigating to different areas of your workspace. The Dashboard option at the top will bring you back to your main Dashboard.

Minimize the Left Hand Navigator

  1. Click on the Unlock icon at the top of the Left Hand Navigator to minimize the Left Hand Navigator. If desired, you can click the Lock icon at the top to re-pin the Left Hand Navigator to your screen.

NOTE: Please check your browser window zoom settings by clicking in the top right corner of the browser and confirm that you are at a zoom of 100% or lower. If your screen does not look like the screenshot above you may need to reduce the zoom of your browser window.


Projects

To find your projects using the main dashboard click on See All or Active Projects to find the projects that you have been assigned to.

For the Purposes of this training those Projects should be:

  1. "Project A - {Your Name}" - utilized for training Modules 1 & 2.

  2. "Project B - {Your Name}" - utilized for training Modules 2 & 3.

  3. "Project C - {Your Name}" - utilized for training Modules 4 & 5.

DID YOU KNOW?πŸ’‘ Only INGENIOUS.BUILD personnel with the role of Project Executive and System Administrators (SA) will be able to create projects in INGENIOUS.BUILD. This protocol is critical to maintaining a clean database and managing INGENIOUS.BUILD contract agreements with our Clients.


Project Dashboard

The Project Dashboard will show you all of the high level information about the project including project financials, project health, action items and more. All of the tiles are clickable. Take time to click around to see where each will take you.

DID YOU KNOW?πŸ’‘ No matter what page you are on in the Project you can always get back to the Project Dashboard by clicking on the Project Name in the top left corner of the screen. Try it out for yourself!


Project Navigation Menu

As shown above, within a project, you can navigate through different areas of the project using the tiles on the Project Dashboard. You can also use the Project Navigation Menu to navigate throughout your project. Once you click into a project, the Lefthand Navigator jumps into the Project Navigation Menu. Notice the modules populate with the different modules within the specific project you are in. Take some time to practice using the Project Navigation Menu.

You can search for a module using the search bar:

To exit the Project Navigation Menu and return to the Lefthand Navigator, click Exit Project.

Begin with reading through this article and then use the buttons provided below to take you through the different modules in the simulated training project:

Head over to Module 1 after reading through this article and learning about project and budget setup! πŸ’°

Click into Module 2 after completing Module 1 and learning about bid packages! πŸ“§

Start working on Module 3 after completing Module 2 and learning about contracts! ✍️

Begin Module 4 after completing Module 3 and learning about change orders! πŸ”

Finish up training with Module 5 after completing Module 4 and learning about invoicing! πŸ’Έ

Now that you are familiar with the interface and how to navigate through your workspace and projects, it's time to jump in! Proceed to Module 1.
