Hello INGENIOUS.BUILD-ers!

Welcome to Keep Being INGENIOUS, the fabulous newsletter about the shiniest new features and enhancements to our dynamic and constantly improving platform! Prepare yourself, because we have quite the line up this week!

Specification Narrative - Our System Generated Document Comparison!

When you upload a new version of your Specification Set, you can now easily tell the differences between the previous and current set through the new Specification Narrative! Upload a new set, and receive a notification to review the narrative before publishing to your Project. Toggle between the previous and new version to see your adjustments clearly accented by our system. You and your team can quickly identify edits that have been made and discuss them before publishing for smooth and efficient collaboration!

Define your Submittal schedule based on “Submit by Date”

Would you rather set a team goal of getting all your submittals in by a certain date instead of basing it off of when materials are required to be on site? Within the Submittals - Schedule tab, you now have the flexibility to base your submittal schedule off of ‘Required on Site date’ or ‘Submit by date’. Precise schedules are nice! 😎

Create tasks directly from a Contract Document

Adding to the suite of markup capabilities within Contract Documents, you can now highlight text and create a task directly from the Contract! Need your legal team to review a certain part of the contract? Want your team to populate some further details regarding scope? Easy! Simply assign them a task from the contract and users will be able to manage that task from their own workspace leading to a complete and collaborative contract document.

**Intermission** ..Fun stuff, right?

Submit received Change Orders to the Owner - On System!

Within Project Settings, users can toggle on "Require Client Approval" for Change Orders and after internal approval is recorded they will be able to submit the Change Order to the client. The Client will receive a notification and will be able to either manually approve the change order or configure an approval workflow within their workspace for that particular project. After the Client has approved the received Change Order, the Owner Rep will be able to proceed with the Contract Amendment!

Owner/Owner Rep Mirroring - has been 💫enhanced💫!

Owners are winning this week - our final release gives even more visibility! Users can now share feasibility studies with their owner! (*crowd goes wild*).

Additionally, when an Owner Rep shares their Owner Budget up to the Owner, the master list of cost codes used in the Owner Budget will be shared into the Owner workspace for their own internal Analytic and Accounting mapping.📈! This results in:

  • Owners’ financial dashboards now accurately reflect the sum of both the Owner Rep managed budget and the Owners’ budget.

  • All funding source data from the Owner Rep is shared to the Owner

  • Documents included with any shared objects from the Owner Rep are synced to the Owner Workspace

  • Owner’s now have a clear distinction between objects shared by the Owner Rep VS. objects they are managing. These will be found in separate tabs. That’s beauty✨🤌

What’s Next!

Budget and Budget Change External Approvals

Our product and engineering teams are cranking out a suite of external approvals and coming soon, you will enjoy new settings in the budget department. You will be able to submit budgets and budget changes to owners for approval!

Many of these previous changes were based on your direct feedback as our valued customer. So don't be shy; drop us a "hey" 👋 and let us know what you think!
