Overview
Adding funds to a project allows you to properly allocate and manage budget resources. Users can choose either a Project Specific Fund for single-project use or a Program Fund shared across multiple projects, then complete the required details and allocation. Once added, the fund becomes available in the project, ensuring accurate tracking and control of all financial resources.
Process
Adding Funds to a Project
In your project, go to the Funding module from the left-hand navigation bar.
Click + Add Fund.
Confirm your Project Base Currency. Click Proceed.
From here, you can select one of two funding types:
Project Specific Fund – A fund exclusively tied to a single project and can only be used for that specific project.
Program Fund – A fund that can support multiple projects or organizational requirements, including capital investments, maintenance, and other program-related expenses.
Adding a Program Fund to Your Project
To add a Program Fund, either Create New Program Fund or select an existing one, then click Next Step.
Enter the amount you want to allocate to this project in the Allocation to Project field.
Click Add Program Fund(s).
Your Program Fund is now available in your project.
Important: If an existing Program Fund does not appear in the list, its Start Date is likely set in the future. Only currently active funding sources can be added to a project.
