What Should I Do If I Can't Pass Human Verification?

Learn why Human Verification may be triggered and what you can do if you're unable to complete it

What is Human Verification?

To help keep the booking process secure, inline has introduced Human Verification across all partner restaurant booking pages. You may be asked to complete verification more frequently when a restaurant is highly popular or when there is a high volume of activity within a short period.

This verification uses dynamic detection technology to determine whether the activity is being performed by a real person, helping prevent automated or bot activity and ensuring a secure and stable booking experience.

If the system detects potentially unusual activity, a verification window will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions and press and hold the verification button to confirm that you are a real user.

Why is Human Verification triggered?

If a large number of requests are sent from the same IP address within a short period, the system may identify the activity as abnormal and trigger Human Verification or apply temporary restrictions.

The following situations are more likely to trigger verification:

  • Repeatedly opening or refreshing the booking page within a short period.

  • Frequently submitting booking requests.

  • Using a shared network environment with multiple users.

What can I do if I can't complete the verification?

If you still can't pass the verification after pressing and holding the button, try the following steps:

  1. Close and reopen your browser, then access the booking page again.

  2. Try again using your browser's Incognito/Private mode.

  3. Switch to a different network (for example, mobile data).

  4. Try using another device, such as a different computer or mobile phone.

  5. Wait for a while before trying again to reduce the chance of triggering the verification mechanism.

If the issue persists, please provide a screenshot of the verification failure, including the Reference ID shown on the screen. inline Support can help review the system's risk assessment. (The verification mechanism evaluates multiple signals, including user interaction patterns, interaction speed, IP address, and device information, to help prevent malicious activity, proxy bookings, and automated bot bookings. If the risk score is too high, Support may not be able to manually remove the restriction.)
