The Special Permissions page adds an extra layer of security around high-risk actions, such as paying invoices and creating checks. It works alongside a user's regular role by requiring them to be individually named before they can perform these actions.
To manage these settings, navigate to Administration, then Roles & Permissions, then open the Special Permissions tab.
The Special Permissions tab lists the pages that require this additional layer of access – for example, initiating a Digital ACH payment or creating a check.
Add a user
To grant a user access, select the page you want – such as Pay Invoices – and type the name of the user who needs the permission.
Then select + Add User.
Remove a user
To remove a user, highlight their name and click the trashcan icon shown next to it.
IF PRO TIP: For security purposes, once a user is removed, they cannot be added again for one hour.
A user must have a mobile phone number entered in their profile before they can be assigned a Special Permission. To add one, navigate to Accounting, then Administration, then User Management, and open the user's profile. In a future release, activities controlled by Special Permissions – such as printing checks – will require two-factor authentication (2FA), a second identity check in addition to the password. |
