InnoCaption Web is a great way to make video conference calls accessible by having captions shown on your computer monitor right next to the video conference screen. To read more about how to use InnoCaption Web, refer to the article here.
However, in order to use InnoCaption Web for video conference meetings, you need to be able to dial in to the meeting through the InnoCaption app on your phone. This means that the meeting host must provide a telephone dial-in number to participants. Meeting hosts can ensure there is a telephone dial-in available by selecting the Telephone and Computer Audio setting under Audio when scheduling the meeting.
See the example screenshot below for the setting that the host must select - forward this article to your meeting host if you don't see a telephone access number for your meeting.
Note: Only meeting hosts with a paid Zoom account will be able to provide a telephone dial-in number to participants. If you do not want to disclose that you are deaf or hard of hearing, please reach out to access@zoom.us. Zoom will provide you with a telephone number free of charge.
Even if there is an alphanumeric password set for the meeting, Zoom will automatically generate a separate number-only password for telephone participants to use when dialing in.
