Do Spocket suppliers accommodate expedited shipping?

Our suppliers only use the best and most reliable shipping companies.

Right now, our suppliers only offer standard shipping options. We do hope to see expedited shipping on Spocket in the near future, but right now, that option is not yet available.

How long is the shipping time?

Each product on Spocket has an order processing time, as well as an order shipping time. The order processing time is the time it takes a supplier to prepare an order for shipment. The order shipping time is the time it takes for the item to reach the end customer.

Shipping time varies from product to product based on the following factors:

  • Location of the supplier

  • Processing time

  • Delivery service used

  • Other external factors

You can find this information in the product description. Click on the product on the search tab and you will see the processing time and shipping time indicated in the description.

Important note: Processing time and shipping time are counted in business days. In order to get the total order processing and shipping time, add the days together. For example, the product below will take a minimum of 6 days and a maximum of 10 days to arrive at the end customer, if they are located in the United States.

What products should I sell?

Such cancellation must be effected through your account settings. Upon successful cancellation, a confirmation notification will be issued for your records.

You bear sole responsibility for the timely cancellation of your subscription. Failure to cancel within the stipulated timeframe as specified in your selected plan shall not entitle you to a refund.

This automatic renewal will continue until the subscription is properly cancelled by you through your account settings prior to the next scheduled renewal date.

Failed Payments and Reattempt Authorization

In the event that a scheduled (monthly or annual) subscription payment fails for any reason (including, but not limited to, insufficient funds, expired payment details, or bank refusal), we reserve the right to automatically reattempt the charge using the same payment method you have authorized.

These reattempts are covered under the original subscription and payment authorization provided by you. How do I change the language of my Spocket account?

Dropshipping has always been about creating flexibility for people looking to become business owners, and adding additional languages is the next step in ensuring that eCommerce is open for everyone.

We've decided to take it up a notch and introduced 5 languages, meaning that it’s now easier than it’s ever been to maintain a dropshipping store in a language other than English.

By default, your Spocket account will be in English but this can easily be switched by going to Settings > Account > Language Preference.

How can I disable branded invoicing in Spocket?

A Branded Invoice allows you to personalize your orders by giving you the option to add your company logo and leave a thank you note that is slipped into your customer’s package. However, there could be occasions when you don't want the supplier to include one.

There are 2 ways you can inform your supplier to not include invoices:

  1. During checkout, make sure to leave a message in the supplier’s note to not print and slip an invoice when they fulfill your customer’s order.

  2. The other option is to simply disable the ‘Include Branded Invoicing on All Orders’ toggle that is accessible on the ‘Branded Invoicing’ under Store tab on your settings.

Animation of turning off the Include Branded Invoicing on All Orders toggle in Spocket settings

What does this toggle do?

As Branded invoicing is enabled by default for Spocket entrepreneurs on the Pro plan or higher, they will need to explicitly disable it if they do not want branded invoices included in their customer’s orders. When disabled, a large warning message is displayed notifying the supplier to not include invoicing.

How do I import items in bulk?

At the moment, Spocket entrepreneurs will need to do this item-by-item.

It is necessary for our entrepreneurs to be aware of all the variables in order to avoid confusion and issues related to the product they are selling. This way, Spocket entrepreneurs get to view all the important details of each product, as well as understand the shipping information and the return policy before adding them to their store.

While Spocket entrepreneurs still need to import each item individually, it is possible for the entrepreneur, however, to publish items in bulk. To do that, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Imports List

  2. Review currently imported products

  3. Click the Push Current Page button

  4. Select Push All and wait for the confirmation

How do I pay for my subscription and orders?

Subscription Fees

These are ways you can pay for a Spocket subscription.

  • Credit Card / Debit Card

  • Shopify

Spocket Orders

Credit cards and PayPal are the payment methods to process Spocket orders. They are an internationally accepted way of transactions, secured by banks, and offer post-purchase safety to Spocket's merchants and suppliers. Furthermore, credit cards and PayPal are widely accepted for online purchases.

We understand the importance of varied payment methods; hence, we are looking into adding more options for our users in the future.

What is Stripe?

In order to ensure all transactions are processed securely, we use Stripe as our payment processor to ensure PCI compliance.

We do not require our Spocket entrepreneurs to own a Stripe account as it is only a tool we use to process all the transactions in our system. However, it should be noted that Stripe charges a processing fee of 2.9% + 30 cents, which is added to every successful order processed on Spocket.

How do I know the margin I'm making on my products?

Wondering how to ensure you're making a margin on a product? Spocket's profit margin calculator can help!

Here's how it works:

  1. Log in to your Spocket account and click on Import List

  2. Scroll until you find the product you'd like to view the margin of

  3. Click on Variants

  4. You can enter your desired Sales Price and Spocket will automatically calculate how much profit you'll make (after paying for the product's cost and shipping)

Animation of entering a sales price on the Variants tab of the Import List to see the profit

Note that if you want to see how the margin will be impacted based on different shipping destinations, select Shipping Price, and choose a country.

Animation of selecting a shipping country on the Variants tab to see the profit for that destination

How can I merge multiple items into one listing?

It is important to know that when a product has been pushed to your store, its variants are given specific unique identifiers so that Spocket knows which variant is which.

Hence, when you try to merge multiple Spocket products into one, this will automatically break the connection and we would not be able to sync orders for that item to your Spocket account.

The issue will be encountered when you try to recreate by adding or removing the variations through the Edit options menu on your store (the example below is shown for Shopify users).

Shopify Edit options window for a product's size and colour variants

When removing the variant this way, a warning message will be displayed. If you continue, a new variation can be re-added with the ‘Add variant’ button and reconfigured to look the same. At that point, a new variant ID will be generated and the connection will break. We will no longer be able to sync the order for this item to Spocket because it does not match the ID in our system.

Why am I unable to push products to my Shopify store?

You may encounter that you are unable to push products to Shopify. Here are a few reasons why you might be having this issue:

  1. You are on Spocket’s basic plan.

Spocket’s Basic plan is free and allows you to sign up for an account without any cost to view our products and see what we have to offer. If you want to import Spocket products to your store, then you must upgrade to one of our premium plans.

  2. You are getting an error message on Spocket.

If you encounter an error message appearing on the left-hand side of your Spocket dashboard, please notify the Spocket Support team right away by sending a screenshot of the error to us.

  3. You have reached Shopify’s limit on the number of products/variants that apps are able to create using the API.

Shopify introduced a limit in March 2019 on how many variants apps can create using the API. The limit is currently set to 1,000 variants per 24-hour period, which means if you have 100 variants for 5 different products, it will be counted as 500 variants.

When you have reached the limit, you will not be able to push any more products and will get a 429 error message that will look like this:

Response code = 429. Response message = Too Many Requests

Product: Daily variant creation limit reached. Please try again later.

You can ask Shopify to remove this limit on your store by contacting Shopify Support and asking them to increase your store limit, but you will need to explain the reasons behind your request.

Why am I unable to push products to my WooCommerce store?

There are a number of reasons why you are unable to push products to your WooCommerce store.

  1. You have a plugin that is blocking Spocket from fully functioning.

You will need to determine which plugin is preventing Spocket from functioning properly. Once identified, you will need to disable and remove the plugin; then you can check if you are now able to push products to your store. If you cannot identify which plugin is blocking Spocket, please feel free to contact us.

  2. You might be running into an SSL error.

It is mandatory to set up an HTTPS certificate to use Spocket so you will need to have an SSL certificate on your domain.

  3. Your server might be blocking Spocket.

To push products successfully to your WooCommerce store, you will need to talk to your host to allow our IP/Domain: IP: 18.221.205.247

What is the difference between listing and retail price?

When viewing a product on Spocket, you will see two prices:

  • Listing Price: This is the amount you have to pay the supplier for the product.

  • Retail Price: This is the suggested price at which you can sell the product. You are free to make changes to the retail price by editing it in the Import List.

Spocket product listing showing the listing price, retail price, processing time and shipping time

Important Note: Neither the listing price nor the retail price includes the shipping. Therefore, we would strongly recommend you take the shipping cost into account before setting up your prices.

What do transaction fees mean on Spocket?

In order to ensure all transactions are processed securely, we utilize Stripe for online payment processing and PCI compliance. Stripe charges a processing fee of 2.9% + 30 cents, which is added to each successful order.

Furthermore, when payments are made through PayPal, the transaction is still processed through Stripe and thus the associated transaction fee is still applicable.

Please note that there are additional charges, as detailed below:

  • + 0.5% - for manually entered cards

  • + 1.5% - for international cards

  • + 1% - if currency conversion is needed

These transaction fees go directly to Stripe.

Stripe card pricing, with extra fees for manually entered cards, international cards and currency conversion

For Spocket suppliers who maintain warehouses in the US and China, a 5% transaction fee is also charged to cover the order processing fees related to placing orders with these suppliers.

Do prices include customs duty and taxes?

Spocket does not handle customs duty within our platform. The suppliers' product pricing does not include customs duty and taxes as this depends on the location where the end customer is buying from.

While most of our suppliers take care of the taxes and customs duties themselves, when shipping within a country, sales taxes may be applicable. This varies from supplier to supplier: the charges that are levied on purchases vary, depending on their location.

The way duty and taxes work for international customers is that it is charged once they arrive in the country of destination. The major reasoning for this is so that national tax authorities can get their taxes and duties from citizens under their laws and jurisdictions.

We always recommend that you inform your end-customers that customs duty may apply and they are responsible for paying it.

Here are some resources that might help you determine customs and taxes

For more information, we urge you to visit each respective country's Border Institutions to learn more about the customs duty regulations in each country.

Where can I find the GTIN code for Spocket products?

Currently, Spocket doesn’t require GTIN codes for products.

We know GTIN codes are essential for advertising on platforms like Google Shopping, and we’re actively working on a solution to make this process easier for you. Stay tuned!

How does Spocket vet its suppliers?

In order to become a supplier on Spocket, suppliers are required to go through an in-depth review and onboarding process.

Here is an overview of the requirements:

  • High-quality products: all suppliers are the producers of high-quality products, most of which are produced and shipped from Europe or North America

  • No third-party warehouses: all suppliers are required to manufacture or hold their own inventory - no third-party warehouses allowed!

  • Discount on retail prices: all suppliers are required to offer discounted pricing off of their regular retail price to ensure Spocket dropshippers can make a profit off of their sales

  • Fast order processing and shipping: all suppliers are required to abide by the processing and shipping time frames they have specified in order to offer customers the best experience

At Spocket, we want our dropshippers to offer a best-in-class experience for their customers, which is why all Spocket suppliers go through a rigorous vetting process before joining the platform.

How do I find supplier and product reviews?

All Spocket suppliers are required to go through a vetting process in order to join Spocket. All suppliers that are accepted are rated based on their processing times, shipping times, and product quality.

In order to check a supplier's rating on Spocket, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Search Products page

  2. Click the dropdown on Select Supplier and type in a supplier's name

  3. When the results show up, click on the supplier's highlighted name

  4. You will be taken to the supplier's profile page, where you can see their rating

We don't currently offer reviews on products, but we are hoping to make that available in the future.

How do I find the supplier's size charts?

If you're looking for a product size chart, there are three places it might be:

  1. In the product description

  2. In one of the product images

  3. If you click on Open Product Variations

However, if you ever see that a product has a missing size chart, please let us know with the product's name and our team can immediately contact the supplier to request additional details.

Does Spocket have Print On Demand suppliers?

Print on demand is when a supplier receives an order and prints or creates the product immediately.

Currently, Spocket has several suppliers that offer customized items that you can sell in your store.

Here are some suppliers you might like:

Do Spocket suppliers ship worldwide?

Which carriers do Spocket's suppliers use?

While it is not possible to choose the carrier that is used to ship your orders, you can be assured that our suppliers only work with reliable shipping companies.

Usually, our suppliers use DHL, USPS, ePacket, and FedEx, among many other local carriers. Every supplier has a different way of going about international shipping, but they always choose the most efficient company to ship your orders. This guarantees an accurate estimation and secure delivery of the items that your customer chose.

ORDERS

How do I know if an order has been shipped by the supplier?

As soon as your order is shipped by the supplier, you will receive an automated email with the tracking details similar to below.

Example shipping confirmation email from Spocket with the order details and tracking number

You can also check your order’s shipping and tracking status by following these steps:

  1. Head over to your Orders Tab on the Spocket app

  2. Scroll down to the order you are inquiring about

  3. Select the truck icon to obtain more details on the shipping status

  4. To check the processing and shipping time of the order, click on the product's image

Every Spocket supplier has their own processing and shipping times. If you find that your order is still within the processing period, please give it some time.

Don't forget to deduct the weekends from your timeframe since our suppliers only work on weekdays.

Once the package leaves the supplier’s warehouse, please note that it is the responsibility of the retailer to work with the carrier to obtain tracking updates.

Important note: Your customer's order will not get shipped out without being processed by you first. Check that you have processed and paid for the order yourself by going to your Orders Page and confirming it has been successfully checked out. If the order still has "Checkout Order" next to it, then you still need to process the order on Spocket by following the steps here.

How can I notify customers about shipped orders as a Dropshipper?

While we do not send your customers any messages directly, customers are automatically informed of the shipped orders through Shopify.

To automatically include a link to the order status page in shipping and order emails, complete the following steps.

Here is how you can enable shipped order notifications:

  1. From your Shopify account, click Settings, then select Checkout

  2. Scroll down to the Customer Contact section, and then check To receive shipping updates so that customers can choose to add a phone number or email to receive shipping updates after they complete their order

  3. Click Save to apply the changes

You can customize these notifications by going to Shopify Settings and selecting Notifications.

What will my customer's package look like?

Suppliers are required to ship your items in brand-neutral packaging without any promotional materials from their own company.

However, please note that certain items such as clothing may come with the manufacturer's tags. The tags are used to signify that the items are new and unused. They are also used to honor refund policies set by the suppliers.

Some suppliers may also be the original manufacturer of their own brands; therefore, their logos may exist on the product itself. In these instances, you should be able to see the supplier's logo on the product listings' photos or the product listings' disclaimers.

Example below:

Example product photo showing a supplier's own branding on the packaging

Will my customer get their items in one package?

If an order is fulfilled by 2 different suppliers, you will be responsible for paying the shipping fees separately as the items will be shipped from different locations or warehouses.

This also results in your customer receiving 2 distinct tracking numbers, which will be available for viewing on your Spocket account's My Orders page once the supplier updates the order.

Why am I unable to check out an order in my store?

If you or your customer is unable to check out an order on your store, it could be that your shipping settings may not have been set up properly.

It's important for us to note that Spocket does not import products with the shipping information (delivery time or shipping fees); hence, you must set your shipping settings in your store settings.

If you are on Shopify, here's how to set up shipping rates and zones:

Customers can order products from your store only if the country or region where they want the order shipped to is included in one of your shipping zones.

If you are unable to check out an order on Spocket, there could be a number of reasons why the system won't allow you to:

  • The supplier is unable to ship to the destination or recipient's country

  • The item is no longer available and has been deactivated by the supplier

  • The order has not been paid for successfully by your customer

  • One of the items ordered is unavailable or deactivated by the supplier

If one of the items in your order is unavailable, please reach out to Spocket to submit a request to have the unavailable product removed so you can proceed in checking out and paying for the remainder of the order on Spocket.

If you still are facing issues, please send us an email or contact us via live chat.

What costs are included on your branded invoice on Spocket?

At the moment, the costs included are your retail price and tax.

Example branded invoice showing the item's unit price, subtotal, tax and total

Currently, we cannot add the shipping price or customs and duty costs to the invoice. This is because the shipping cost is dependent on the carrier that our supplier chooses, while customs and duty vary depending on your customer's address. As a result, the invoice will only display the item's unit cost and tax.

Please also note that applied discount codes will not appear on these invoices, due to potential complications with bigger orders that include products not related to Spocket.
