3rd party Custom Invoice

Updated over a week ago

Each clinic has a default third-party billing template called Third Party. You can create your own invoice templates for third-party payments or edit the existing templates. These can be customized with your own text or patient demographic information. You add variables in the same way as you do for letter templates.

📌 Note: TELUS Health can create new invoice templates for you, or assist in editing an existing template. For a new invoice template, contact CHRAccountManagement@telus.com. For assistance editing a template, contact us through the in-app support bubble (see Contact us).

Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Settings > Billing.

  2. Under Billing Item Template click the gear icon. A Billing Providers window opens.

  3. Click +Add to create a new template, or click an existing template's name to edit it. For more information on creating a new billing code template, see Private and third-party billing code templates.

  4. In the Edit Payment Issuer window, click the Print tab.

  5. Under Payment Template, click Edit. The Edit Printable Page window opens.

  6. Click and type any text you want to add, using the formatting options at the top.

  7. Click Insert Variable to pull in data. See Variables for use in third-party and private invoice templates.

  8. If required, click on an existing variable to edit it.

📌 Note: To delete a variable, click after the variable and press backspace on Windows or delete on Mac. You can also press ctrl on Windows or cmd on Mac and click the variable.

  9. When you are finished, click Update at the bottom of the Edit Printable Page window.

  10. Click Save in the Edit Payment Issuer window.

  11. Click Close and refresh your browser.
