Rescheduling a single appointment

Move an appointment to a different provider, day or time

You can move a single appointment by editing the appointment and changing the date, time, or provider.

To move a block of appointments (for example, if you need to reschedule an entire day for a provider), see Rescheduling a block of appointments.

💡 Tip: If you can see the appointment to be moved and the schedule and day/time to move it to on the screen at the same time, you can drag and drop the appointment.

Steps

1. In the schedule, click the appointment to open the appointment booking window.

2. Change the date and time, and/or provider, and click Save.

3. Optionally change the status of the new appointment to Rescheduled, to keep track of the fact that this was not the original appointment. For more information, see Tracking the status of an appointment.

📌 Note: You can only move the appointment to a different provider's schedule if you are currently viewing that schedule.

📌 Note: Any existing appointment reminders are not removed when you reschedule an appointment. Edit these as necessary on the rescheduled appointment.

💡 Tip: You can also reschedule an appointment by following the steps to book a follow-up appointment (see Booking a follow-up appointment). If you use this workflow, ensure you either delete the original appointment or change the status.
